BAC Announces
Four Artists / Four Visions Show
Belmar, NJ, February 5, 2009 - The Belmar Arts Council (BAC) is presenting the Four Artists/Four Visions show during February, which features artwork by the four award winners from the BAC Fourth Annual Juried Art Show.
Spring Lake resident and Best in Show winner Bobbie Crane will be exhibiting her impressionistic oil and acrylic paintings. Ms. Cran, who has won several awards over the years, exhibits her work locally in galleries in Spring Lake and Brielle. The other three artists earned Honorable Mention awards during last spring's juried show. Marge Levine, a pastelist, won the first scholarship award given by the International Association of Pastel Societies in 2008 and has won many awards in National pastel exhibits. Trudy Maran, a photographer, has exhibited in several shows at the Guild of Creative Art in Shrewsbury and her work will be shown at the Monmouth Festival of the Arts in Tinton Falls, this coming spring. Catherine Dentino, also a photographer, graduated from the School of Visual Arts and is presently in a Master's program at The Pratt Institute in New York. Her unusual and compelling work is currently on exhibit at Project Basho in Philadelphia.
There will be a reception to meet the artists, which is open to the public, on Saturday, February 7th, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the BoatWorks Gallery on River Road, Belmar. The exhibition will be on display from February 5th through February 23rd
The BoatWorks Gallery will be open from Wednesday through Sunday from 1 to 5 pm, for the duration of the show. Admission is free. For more information and directions to the BoatWorks, please visit the BAC web site at www.belmararts.org.
