For immediate release: BAC Offers Framing/Matting WorkshopBelmar NJ October 18, 2007 - Artist William Carpenter will present a "Save Money by Framing Yourself" workshop at the Belmar Arts Council Boatworks building on Thursday, Oct. 25 from 7-9 p.m. He will discuss various methods of framing, selection of sizes, choice of materials, acid free vs. paper mats, necessary equipment to get started and suggestions of where to purchase it and types of glass. He will also do a hands-on demo of cutting double mats and show various ways to assemble a framed piece. The workshop is $10 for BAC members and $15 for non-members.
